Goal

WARNING - NOTE : The steps provided in the Article are only for the purpose of testing the ABMR feature and should be performed strictly in TEST Environments alone.

The note describes the steps to introduce block corruption for a datafile and help recover the same using the
ABMR ( Auto BMR Background Process )  feature in a standby configuration.

This note is specific for testing in ASM setup's with external redundancy. 

As pre-requisite, the Primary and standby should be configured and working properly.

 

# The configuration is a real-time query physical standby database.
