Last updated on NOVEMBER 28, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 8.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why is the following error raised:

ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 16328 bytes (koh-kghu call ,pmuccst: adt/record)

Why doesn't PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET limit the processes' memory in this case?

Why doesn't _PGA_MAX_SIZE help either?
