ORA-600[504]...[gcs remastering latch]... after Starting Smart Flash Cache when Merge Patches 16025370 and 16285061 are Applied (Doc ID 1530152.1)

Symptoms

The following error occurs in the alert log:

when all of the following criteria has been met:

a.  Oracle Smart Flash Cache is enabled

b.  The ORA-600[504] arguments include:  gcs remastering latch

     ORA-600[504] errors on other latch types are not known to be linked to this case.

c.  One of the following patches has been applied to the ORACLE_HOME:

          <Patch 15901852>  (associated with:  <Bug 15901852> - LMS WAITS TOO LONG FOR SGA: ALLOCATION FORCING COMPONENT GROWTH AND CRASHES

          <Patch 16025370>  (associated with unpublished Bug 16025370 which is a merge fix that includes <Bug 15901852>)

          <Patch 16285061>  (associated with unpublished Bug 16285061 which is a merge fix that includes <Bug 15901852>)
