Goal
After implementing Oracle database auditing, no audit data seems to be generated. One of the following may be observed:
- Lack of expected records in SYS.AUD$, DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL, or other audit trail view.
- Lack of expected records in SYS.FGA_LOG$, or DBA_FGA_AUDIT_TRAIL
- Lack of expected records in *.aud (or *.xml) files on the operating system.
- SQL text or SQL bind variables are not being stored in audit records.
How can one investigate these scenarios?
