Goal

After implementing Oracle database auditing, no audit data seems to be generated.  One of the following may be observed:

  1. Lack of expected records in SYS.AUD$, DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL, or other audit trail view.
  2. Lack of expected records in SYS.FGA_LOG$, or DBA_FGA_AUDIT_TRAIL
  3. Lack of expected records in *.aud (or *.xml) files on the operating system.
  4. SQL text or SQL bind variables are not being stored in audit records.

How can one investigate these scenarios?
