Running a query with XMLSERIALIZE having a column defined inside an xmltable as
  <column name> INT PATH 'count(<xpath for the element>)'
as argument, and the base table is stored as Binary XML,
raises the error

ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

in the sql session while the alert.log contains
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [koxsh2gpage()+50] [ACCESS_VIOLATION] [ADDR:0x20] [PC:0x7A64C84] [UNABLE_TO_READ] []
