/boot , ODA , /boot cleanup, reclaiming space, ODA boot
There are different times when you may find that the ODA /boot area needs more usable space.
- During the installation of a patch / upgrade on ODA and you find the message.
Disk Space Usage on mount point: "/boot is (xx%)" full
- Running pre-patch checks for newer ODA versions may report /boot as having insufficient space
- Running df -k on both nodes may show /boot has under 50m free
This symptom can occur if the ODA has been upgraded.
This is specifically a problem for older ( pre-2.6 ) ODA deployments and a few select ODAs with deployments in early 12.1.2.x versions.
