Symptoms

Running Oracle release 11.2.0.2.0 and hitting error ORA-07445: [qksbgGetCursorVal()] with the following symptoms:

Alert and trace file show an ORA-7445 [qksbgGetCursorVal] error similar to:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [qksbgGetCursorVal()+84] [ACCESS_VIOLATION] [ADDR:0x2BB1FE28] [PC:0x141D4F836] [UNABLE_TO_READ] []


The call stack in trace file includes following function calls:

qksbgGetCursorVal, kxsPeekBinds, kkscsCompareBinds, kksfbc

where function kxsPeekBinds or kxsBingPeekEnabled is typical for this problem.


Opatch lsinventory shows the fix for <Bug 12534597> is applied to the system.
