Symptoms

 Using the Unmanaged Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.NET) , it may be noticed that either more connection pools are created, and/or more connections in V$SESSION are observed, than what is expected.

Changes

  In particular, this may be noticed if migration an application from Unmanaged ODP.NET to Managed ODP.NET
