Symptoms

We notice a difference in the actual values for Sessions parameters from the expected values.

 

On : 11.2.0.3 version,

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
spfile :
*.sessions=560
*.processes=115

v$parameter :

NAME VALUE DISPLAY_VALUE
--------------- --------------- ---------------
processes 115 115
sessions 564 564

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
both need to be the same
