Using "makebdaimage -usbint" on BDA Node 01 for another Server Changes Network Settings for BDA Node01 to that of the Other Server (Doc ID 1559578.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 07, 2019

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 1.0.3 and later
Linux x86-64

Trying to reimage one of the BDA server's in a rack for example BDA node 06 with the following command on BDA node 01:

./makebdaimage -usbint BDABaseImage-2.1.0_RELEASE.iso /opt/oracle/bda/BdaDeploy.json 6

If the command is run from a BDA node other than node 06 for example if it is run on BDA node 01 it successfully completes and asks for a server reboot. However, after a reboot of BDA node 01 the result is that BDA node 01 does not have the correct network settings.
