SCAN Listeners Selected For De-configuration During Deinstall Of A RDBMS ORACLE_HOME (Doc ID 1562344.1)

Last updated on JUNE 25, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Standard Edition - Version 11.2.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While de-installing a database (RDBMS) ORACLE_HOME, the "deinstall" command incorrectly prompts to de-configure the default LISTENER and SCAN LISTENERS, which are actually running from the Grid Infrastructure Home and are actively being used by database instances running from other database homes.

The output from the deinstall tool:

[oracle@racnode1 deinstall]$ echo $TNS_ADMIN

[oracle@racnode1 deinstall]$ echo $ORACLE_SID

[oracle@racnode1 deinstall]$ /u01/oracle/deinstall/deinstall -home /u01/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1 -checkonly
