Running bdacheckcluster on Oracle Big Data Appliance 2.0.1 gives "ERROR: Oracle NoSQL Database Verification Failed" (Doc ID 1568684.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 11, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle NoSQL Database - Version and later
Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 2.0.1 and later
Linux x86-64

NOTE: In the examples that follow, user details, cluster names, hostnames, etc. represent a fictitious sample (and are used to provide an illustrative example only). Any similarity to actual persons, or entities, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

Also note in the examples below BDAKV_DC is he default value for the name of the primary zone for all nodes in the cluster.  See the "Oracle NoSQL Configuration", in the Big Data Appliance Owner's Guide.

Running Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) bdacheckcluster utility to verify the health of the cluster, on one of the servers in the BDA cluster from node 1 gives the following error:

ERROR: Oracle NoSQL Database verification failed
INFO: Use "kvctl /opt/oracle/kv-ce/bin/kvctl -port 5000 runadmin" to run verify command

Running the admin Command Line Interface as below on that node (node 1 in this example) which tries to connect to the Admin (the Oracle NoSQL DB Administrative processes) thows an exception while redirecting to node 4:

# java -jar $KVHOME/lib/kvstore-1.2.125.jar runadmin -port 5000 -host bdanode01
