Symptoms

    If for any reason the script to install XDB, catqm.sql, fails, it is recommended to look at the log file to determine the reason why it failed.  If the script didn't complete, or if the following error is reported after repeating the XDB installation:

    ORA-04098: trigger 'SYS.XDB_INSTALLATION_TRIGGER' is invalid and failed re-validation.

    Data loss could occur for future upgrade operations if the following objects aren't removed after an XDB install or upgrade:

    trigger ==> sys.xdb_installation_trigger
    trigger ==> sys.dropped_xdb_instll_trigger
    table   ==> sys.dropped_xdb_instll_tab
