Symptoms

Using version 11.2.0.x Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC (DG4ODBC) running on a AIX 6.1 64 bit platform, the following error occurs when attempting to select data
from a Netezza database -

ORA-28500
Failed to load ODBC library symbol: /usr/local/lib/libodbc.a(SQLAllocHandle)
Exiting hgolofn, rc=28500 at 2013/07/29-16:39:56
