Symptoms

When attempting to manipulate the TINYINT and SMALLINT data types using the Oracle ODBC Driver for Rdb and Microsoft .NET 64 bit, the following error may be returned:

"Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow"

For example:

PLEASE NOTE, THIS APPLIES TO 64 BIT CONFIGURATIONS ONLY. 32 bit configurations do not have this problem.
