ACFS File System Enable Fails With ORA-15489 If the Diskgroup Dismounts Abruptly on Windows (Doc ID 1579871.1)

Symptoms

2 Node RAC

LDOUTPUT diskgroup got dismounted due to I/O issues from Node 1 which resulted in unavailable  acfs mountpath O:\LDOUTPUT

Diskgroup was mounted manually but acfs volume was not enabling with error ORA-15489

 

SUCCESS: diskgroup LDOUTPUT was mounted
SUCCESS: alter diskgroup LDOUTPUT MOUNT /* ASMCA */
Wed Jul 24 15:35:11 2013
NOTE: diskgroup resource ora.LDOUTPUT.dg is online
Wed Jul 24 15:38:13 2013

SQL> alter diskgroup LDOUTPUT enable volume LDOUTPUT /* ASMCA */ 
ORA-15032: not all alterations performed
ORA-15489: conflicting volume already open on this node
ERROR: alter diskgroup LDOUTPUT enable volume LDOUTPUT /* ASMCA */
