DNFS - ORA-00206 ORA-00202 & ORA-17500 Errors When Starting Up Database (Doc ID 1580438.1)

Symptoms

 All setups are properly configured in the oranfstab file. When we try to bring up the database while the DNFS is enabled, we got the following error:


ALTER DATABASE   MOUNT
Direct NFS: write FAILED 30
Errors in file /home/oracle/diag/rdbms/test/trace/test_ora_24249.trc:
ORA-00206: error in writing (block 1, # blocks 1) of control file
ORA-00202: control file: '/emc/test/cntrl02.dbf'
ORA-17500: ODM err:KGNFS WRITE FAIL:Read-only file system
ORA-17500: ODM err:KGNFS WRITE FAIL:Read-only file system
ORA-221 signalled during: ALTER DATABASE   MOUNT...

Shutting down instance (immediate)

 

DB starts up fine if the DNFS is disabled.
