ORA-48178, ORA-48101, ORA-27072, Linux-x86_64 Error: 22: 'Invalid Argument' at Instance Startup (Doc ID 1583344.1)

Errors like below are reported in the alert log for a database startup:

Error with dbgriap_init_adr_pga: 48178
ORA-48178: error encountered while reading an ADR block file during ADR initialization [<diagnostic_dest>/diag/rdbms/<dbname>/<instname>/metadata/ADR_INTERNAL.mif]
ORA-48101: error encountered when attempting to read a file [block] [<diagnostic_dest>/diag/rdbms/<dbname>/<instname>/metadata/ADR_INTERNAL.mif] [0]
ORA-27072: File I/O error
Linux-x86_64 Error: 22: Invalid argument

ERROR: The process is unable to create the ADR schema in the diagnostic_dest directory
ERROR: because of a disk issue or OS platform issue

ERROR: Reverting back to using the user_dump_dest and background_dump_dest

Because of these errors, ADR is disabled, so the alert.log does not end up where it is expected.

The filesystem used for DIAGNOSTIC_DEST is <Filesystem>.
Other systems with DIAGNOSTIC_DEST on <Filesystem> do not show the issue.
