Purpose

Steps to troubleshoot Hive query exceptions on Oracle Big Data Appliance.  If a Hive query fails with an exception, for example like those below, the debugging tips in this note can provide more information to help analyze the problem, or to include when filing a SR with My Oracle Support.  This can be especially helpful in the case of regressions where successful queries begin failing.
