XML DB Install Fails With An ORA-01017 Error (Doc ID 1588903.1)

Symptoms

When running catqm.sql the session disconnects from SQL*Plus while running.

Below is the command being run:

@catqm xdb sysaux temp YES

After catqm.sql runs catxdbz.sql the following error is returned:

ERROR:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Warning: You are no longer connected to ORACLE.
SP2-0640: Not connected

Then it prompts for the value of the xdb_file:

"Enter value for xdb_file:"
