(Doc ID 1589597.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 12, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Rdb Server on OpenVMS - Version 7.3 and later
Oracle JDBC for Rdb - Version 7.2 and later
HP OpenVMS Itanium
HP OpenVMS Alpha

It has been observed that the performance of a normal JDBC for Rdb thin server goes down by a factor of 2 if the system's CPU load is very high. However the performance of an MP thin server goes down by a factor of 10 or more under high CPU load.
