Web UI Access in Cloudera Manager for Active and Standby NameNodes, Hue, Oozie and Other Services Bring up a Blank Page on Oracle Big Data Appliance
(Doc ID 1595970.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 17, 2019
Applies to:
Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 2.0 and laterLinux x86-64
Symptoms
1. Cloudera Manager(CM) reports that the cluster is in "Good Health".
2. On the HDFS summary page of CM (Services > hdfs) both the Active and Standby NameNode are reported to be in "Good Health"
3. No port conflicts are reported when running the following as root on both the Active and Standby NameNodes:
# netstat -a | grep 50070
However navigating to the Web UI for the Active and Standby Namenodes in CM brings up a blank page:
1. From CM:
Services > hdfs > Web UI > to get to the Web UI for the Active and Standby NameNodes, brings up a blank screen for both Active and Standby NameNodes.
2.Directly navigating to the NameNode Web UIs via a browser also brings up a blank screen e.g.:
<StandbyNN>.<DOMAIN>:50070
The same can apply to other Cloudera Manager Services.
For example:
Navigating to the HUE Web UI either directly via: http://<HOSTNAME4>.<DOMAIN>:8888/ or from CM > Hue > Hue Web UI, brings up a blank page.
Navigating to the Oozie Web UI either directly via: http://<HOSTNAME4>.<DOMAIN>:11000/ or from CM > Oozie > Oozie Web UI, brings up a blank page.
As for the NameNodes, CM reports the other service in "Good Health" and there are no port conflicts. In the case of Hue, there are no port conflicts with 8888 and for the case of Oozie there are no port conflicts with 11000.
