ODA,oakcli, oakcli create database
Goal
You want to create a single database (EE) on ODA ( Oracle Database Appliance) using oakcli
- Up to ODA version 2.6 you could only create a single database on node two using DBCA.
As of 2.7 you can now use oakcli from node one to create a single instance database on node 2
This note provides an example of how to create databases for either node using the oakcli command
NOTE:
Oakcli is the preferred method as this provides automatic detection of CRS / RAC and Oracle Home pathes used
Unless you have a strong reason that you believe requires a manual method please note that you may
be restricting or bypassing features built into the ODA created for easy administration.
Also: Changes in database creation may occur in newer versions after the publishing of this note
- this method has only been tested up to 2.8 ( and 2.9 pre-release )
