After Oracle Big Data Appliance V2.2.1 Upgrade Cannot Login to Hue Web UI as Hue User without All Permissions. (Doc ID 1597207.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading to Oracle Big Data Appliance V2.2.1 (CDH 4.3/CM 4.6.3) logging into Hue Web UI as a Hue User belonging to a Hue Group without the full set of Group Permissions raises an error. 

An error will be raised if logging into the Hue Web UI via Cloudera Manager (CM) as (All Services > hue > Hue Web UI) or logging into the Hue Web UI directly from a browser as http://bdanode04.example.com:8888.  Note the Hue Service runs on Node04 in BDA V2.2.1.  


For example if the Hue User belongs to a Hue Group without the full set of Group Permissions as in the example below for Group test:
