An invalid tablespace error can occur in a variety of situations, such as this:
Even specifying the TABLESPACE explicitly does not resolve the issue.
Usually, a reorganization of tablespaces had been performed some time before this error is seen for the first time. (ie. dropping, renaming, adding tablespaces).
Changes
Removing or renaming tablespaces.
