Purpose

 Compatibility information of Oracle Database on different filesystem and I/O type like Async I/O & Direct I/O over Oracle Linux 6 

Scope

 This is intended for Linux system administrators and Linux DBAs with sysadmin skills.

This document is for the supportability of Oracle datafile, controlfile, redolog, archivelog files on the filesystems and only for Oracle Linux 6.
