Goal

Starting with Oracle Database Appliance Virtualized Platform version 2.8.0.0.0, you can create one or more shared repositories for the storage of virtual machine files. The article intention is to show how you can move a Virtual Machine created on local repository to the shared repository.

 1. Stop the VM running on local repository
 2. Check in which local repository your vm is running
 3. Package the current VM as a template.tgz file
 4. Import it as a vmtemplate in a shared repo
 5. Clone vm in shared repo
 6. Starts the created VM on shared repository
 7. Remove the VM package
