"No valid credentials provided" Errors seen when Running A Hadoop Command on Oracle Big Data Appliance with Kerberos Enabled (Doc ID 1601999.1)

Symptoms

While running a hadoop command 'hadoop dfs -ls /user' the following errors / exceptions are seen on an Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) v2.3.1 or higher on a cluster where Kerberos is enabled:

ERROR security.UserGroupInformation: PriviledgedActionException as:root (auth:KERBEROS) cause:javax.security.sasl.SaslException: GSS initiate failed [Caused by GSSException: No valid credentials provided (Mechanism level: Failed to find any Kerberos tgt)]
WARN ipc.Client: Exception encountered while connecting to the server : javax.security.sasl.SaslException: GSS initiate failed [Caused by GSSException: No valid credentials provided (Mechanism level: Failed to find any Kerberos tgt)]
