When using SQLDeveloper (3.2.20.09) to view a TimesTen database that was created with character set WE8DEC some of the text of the characters (e.g. object names, etc.) are not displayed correctly, what user saw was some Asian characters. WE8DEC is a legacy Western European 8-bit character set for DEC supported in Oracle databases.
1. Create TimesTen database on Unix/Linux with database character set WE8DEC
2. Connect to the database using SQLDeveoper from a Windows host
3. View database objects
4. Observe incorrect characters are displayed
