Purpose

This bulletin explains the difference between tempfiles and datafiles associated to TEMPORARY tablespaces and tablespaces TEMPORARY. 

Scope

For all DBAs who need to maintain these 2 categories of files, manage space allocation and requirement within the database itself and/or under the OS.
