Is there a memory or cpu cost in increasing the TimesTen Connections database attribute?

After receiving TT0955: Current Connections attribute setting (nnnn) exceeded we would like to set CONNECTIONS to the highest possible value to avoid future occurrences. Is there a penalty in doing this?
