Symptoms

When running TimesTen script @initCacheGlobalSchema.sql against Oracle 12c an error was observed.
The example below demonstrates how to reproduce the error:

Example:

01. Connect To Oracle Using SqlPlus

$ sqlplus / as sysdba

Output:

Connected to:
Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP, Advanced Analytics and Real Application Testing options

02. Attempt To Run TimesTen Script To Reproduce Error

SQL> @initCacheGlobalSchema.sql

Output:

Please enter the tablespace where TIMESTEN user is to be created users
The value chosen for tablespace is users
