Symptoms

"oerr" command does not works for non oracle user id , even if user id is part of Oracle Home Software Owner Group (oinstall or dba) in 12.1.0.1

[test@celvpint0601 ~]$  export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1
[test@celvpint0601 ~]$ cd /u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/bin
[test@celvpint0601 bin]$ ./oerr ora 1017
./oerr: line 29:
/u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/perl/bin/perl: Permission
denied

 

Changes

Files and directories inside $ORACLE_HOME/perl/lib does not have "rx" permision for group.
