RMAN cold back up of the database fails:

Around the time of these errors, ASM was up and running, with all ASM disk groups mounted. No related errors show in ASM alert log.
Furthermore, the Job Role Separation (JRS) configuration (which allows for a separate OS user to administer the ASM and the databases instances) was checked and it was without fault, so this is not caused by the inability of the database processes accessing ASM disks/storage.
The only change is moving from Netbackup to Legato Networker.
