Setting DBMS_STATS.ALTER_STATS_HISTORY_RETENTION In Primary Does not reflect in Standby Side (Doc ID 1614876.1)

Symptoms

Changing  the retention time of  STATS_RETENTION, which contains older versions of optimizer statistic according Doc ID 329984.1 does not reflect on standby side.

SQL> select dbms_stats.get_stats_history_retention from dual; -> result: 31


SQL> exec DBMS_STATS.ALTER_STATS_HISTORY_RETENTION(30);

Primary side value is changed :


SQL> select dbms_stats.get_stats_history_retention from dual; -> result: 30

 

Performed multiple log switch But on Standby side 'STATS_RETENTION'  is still 31.


SQL> select dbms_stats.get_stats_history_retention from dual; -> result: 31

 No Change
