Exadata: DROP FLASHCACHE MAY FAIL IF THE FLASH DISKS ARE IN DEGRADED STATE

Symptoms
Exadata Storage software version : 11.2.3.2.1
Flash disks are in degraded performance
If you want to drop the flashcache and recreate the flashcache on the surviving disks
You have to do the below steps :
1. flush the flashcache
2. drop the flashcache
3. create a new flashcache.
But drop the flashcache may fail :
CellCLI> alter flashcache all flush
Flash cache on FD_01_sl01cel01 successfully altered
Flash cache on FD_02_sl01cel01 successfully altered
Flash cache on FD_03_sl01cel01 successfully altered
Flash cache on FD_04_sl01cel01 skipped because FD_04_sl01cel01 is degraded
Flash cache on FD_05_sl01cel01 skipped because FD_05_sl01cel01 is degraded
Flash cache on FD_06_sl01cel01 skipped because FD_06_sl01cel01 is degraded
Flash cache on FD_07_sl01cel01 skipped because FD_07_sl01cel01 is degraded
CellCLI> drop flashcache;
CELL-02769: Cannot complete flash cache drop on: FD_04_sl01cel01. Received
error: CELL-02732: There may be data not synchronized to the grid disks
(dirty data) in flash cache. Use ALTER FLASHCACHE to flush the dirty data and
to stop caching, and then retry the command. Flash cache was not dropped on
these cell disks: FD_04_sl01cel01 FD_06_sl01cel01 FD_05_sl01cel01
FD_01_sl01cel01 FD_02_sl01cel01 FD_03_sl01cel01 FD_07_sl01cel01 .
