Symptoms

The node number from the olsnodes -n might not be as expected in 11gR2 or higher version depending on the sequence of root.sh execution for fresh installation.

For example, the expected output in 5 node cluster

Node1>olsnodes -n

      node1 1
      node2 2
      node3 3
      node4 4
      node5 5


but the cluster may return in other order

Node1>olsnodes -n

      node1 1
      node3 2
      node4 3
      node2 4
      node5 5
