Last updated on MAY 30, 2021

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 2.4.0 and later
Oracle NoSQL Database - Version 12.1.2.1.54 and later
Linux x86-64

Purpose

Oracle NoSQL Database (NoSQL) can be installed via Mammoth V2.2 and higher installations on clusters allocated to its use.  As of Mammoth V2.2 Hadoop and NoSQL can not be installed on the same cluster.  When NoSQL is installed on an Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) via Mammoth the install and configuration steps described in the Oracle NoSQL Database documentation are not required.  This note overviews the configuration, store and some steps for successfully using Oracle NoSQL Database on the Oracle Big Data Appliance. Specficially it focuses on  Oracle NoSQL Database, version 12cR1.2.1.54 Enterprise Edition.  Using the Oracle NoSQL Database Enterprise Edition requires a separate license.

Note that changes to the number or location of stores as defined by the mammoth installation are not recommended.
