ORA-7445 / ORA-600 Querying V$PX_SESSION (Doc ID 1643850.1)

Symptoms

Querying V$PX_SESSION, numerous and various errors are possible. The base error looks to be:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [PC:0xF4E4] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x111421000] [PC:0xF4E4] [Address not mapped to object] []

with various addresses referenced.

Some trace files will include no call stack, but the primary rediscovery method is the following current SQL shown in the trace file:

Changes

No relevant changes exist.
However, the issue could occur while using monitoring tools (querying V$PX_SESSION), like the 3rd party tool Spotlight from Quest.
