srvctl add filesystem for ACFS fails with PRCA-1043 PRCT-1011 CLSU-00101 with "No such file or directory" (Doc ID 1662009.1)

Symptoms

You deleted acfs resource for crs or acfs registry due to some maintenance issue like upgrading , and after the maintenance  when you are adding the filesystem again then you are getting below error:

srvctl add filesystem -d /dev/asm/staging-34 -v STAGING -g GPSPGJP1_ACFS -m /gpspgjp1/staging -u apppgjp1
PRCA-1043 : Failed to validate volume STAGING of volume device /dev/asm/staging-34
PRCT-1011 : Failed to run "advmutil".Detailed error: advmutil:

CLSU-00100: Operating System function: open64 failed with error data: 2|advmutil:

CLSU-00101: Operating System error message: No such file or directory|advmutil:

CLSU-00103: error location: OOF_1|advmutil:

CLSU-00104: additional error information: open64 ()|advmutil: ADVM-01006: unable to open volume device '

 

Changes

 You removed the resource using command:

crsctl delete resource <resource_name >
