Symptoms

You find Flash Cache Writes Or Populations getting skipped when write back flash cache is enabled  on Exadata Storage Server software 11.2.3.3.0.

How to determine if you have write back flash cache enabled?

Execute:

#dcli -g ~/cell_group -l root cellcli -e "list cell attributes flashcachemode"

Results:

flashCacheMode: WriteBack  -> write back flash cache is enabled
flashCacheMode: WriteThrough  -> write back flash cache is not enabled
