(Doc ID 1662839.1)

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 2.2.1 and laterLinux x86-64
Symptoms
One of the data nodes in Cloudera Manager is showing a "clock offset" warning.
Running # dcli -C date command shows the following where one server is showing a different time than the rest:
# dcli -C date
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST1>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST2>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
...
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST15>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:24 CDT 2014
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST16>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST17>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST18>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST1>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST2>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
...
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST15>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:24 CDT 2014
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST16>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST17>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
<PRIVATE_IP_HOST18>: Tue Apr 1 10:36:28 CDT 2014
Running dcli -C -x /opt/oracle/bda/network/bdasettime helps sync the nodes time but then gets out of sync again in only a few hours.
