DBCA Created USERS Tablespaces With Manual Segment Space Management in 12.1.0.1 (Doc ID 1665524.1)

Symptoms

 The Automatic Segment Space Management is disabled on Users tablespace by default in 12c(12.1.0.1) during database creation using DBCA.  In the previous versions (11g), this setting was set to automatic during creation of database.

Open DBCA.
At Step 1 (Create Database), click Next>.
At Step 2, click Advanced Mode and click Next>.
At Step 3, click Custom Database and click Next>.
At Step 4, define GDN and SID and click Next>.
At Step 5, accept the default and click Next>.
At Step 6, click Use the Same Administrative Password for All Accounts, enter
 Password, enter Confirm Password, enter Oracle Home User Password, and click Next>.
At Step 7, use the listener that had been setup previously and click Next>.
At Step 8, click Use Common Location for All Database Files, accept the
default value placed in Database File Locations, and click Next>.
At Step 9, uncheck everything on the Database Components tab and click Next>.
At Step 10, accept all the defaults and click Next>.
At Step 11, click Customize Storage Locations.
Click on the Users tablespace.
Click on the Options tab.  Notice that the ASSM checkbox is unchecked for the Users tablespace.
