LOB Storage Increases excessively after Changing the database character set from WE8ISO8859P1 to AL32UTF8 (Doc ID 1677489.1)

Symptoms

While migrating the database from one platform to another, which also included changing the character set of the database from WE8ISO8859P1 to AL32UTF8 , it was noticed that the LOB storage for a set of tables has increased by 60 times.

The migration is done using export/import datapump.

Changed the character set of the database from WE8ISO8859P1 to AL32UTF8.
