How to disable dynamic remastering of specific objects (Doc ID 1678226.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 09, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 11.2.0.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

pseudo remastering taking a long time regularly causing slowdown on the application side

Changes

Oracle RAC enable dynamic remastering for all objects of the database, i.e. the lock mastering of objects can change to match the way the objects are used the most (readonly, accessed primary on some instance, etc...) in the recent database life. Since 11.2.0.4, it is possible to disable remastering for specific objects, e.g. when some objects are remastered too frequently or should not be remastered from an application point of view. For 11.2.0.3, the same can be obtained when fix 16004872  is installed.
