Goal
You are attempting to create a standby database using RMAN and
encountering an RMAN-6026 and RMAN-6024 error when trying to restore the
database to the standby location. The target database is on Host A,
the RMAN catalog is on Host B and the standby database is on Host C.
A hot backup to disk was taken prior to restoring the database to the standby
location. RMAN encounters an RMAN-6024 when attempting to restore the
standby controlfile as follows
