AIX on Power System: Low-speed Write On An ACFS Volume (Doc ID 1901785.1)

Symptoms

 You are using Oracle RAC 11gR2 on AIX 7.1 and have a diskgroup ACFS, ACFS volume enabled and an ACFS mounted filesystem for rman external tables files (large files).

The ACFS volume works correctly but is having a poor write speed.

Also, Legato is being used as the backup tool.

Changes

 Ensure that Virtual memory (VMM) is tuned per the IBM recommendations.
