Goal

This document explains how you can achieve Parallel Statement Queuing for any SQL Statement with the PARALLEL_DEGREE_POLICY parameter set to MANUAL.

Note: The method given in this document is the ONLY SUPPORTED METHOD for getting a parallel statement to use the queue when parallel_degree_policy = manual.   You may also want to refer to <Document 1677076.1> "Hidden PX Parameters Should Be Used Only When Directed by Support or Development" if you are trying to use any other method.
