"DOMIDX_OPTSTATUS=FAILED" For Locator/Spatial Index (Doc ID 1905175.1)

Symptoms

Domidx_opstatus value of an rtree index (Locator/Spatial index ) is FAILED. 

SQL> Select index_owner,index_name,table_owner,table_name,column_name,status,domidx_status,domidx_opstatus from dba_indexes ;

Dropping the index and recreating index will fail with following error.

SQL> CREATE INDEX LMHOLTP.SSL_GEO_LOCATION_IDX ON LMHOLTP.SPONSOR_STORE_LOCATION
(SSL_G_STORE_GEO_LOCATION)
INDEXTYPE IS MDSYS.SPATIAL_INDEX
NOPARALLEL ;

ORA-29855: error occurred in the execution of ODCIINDEXCREATE routine
ORA-22060: argument [2] is an invalid or uninitialized number
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_INDEX_METHOD_10I", line 10

  

Changes

 Data was imported from another release and during import index was not created correctly.

 

Due to  failed domidx_opstatus index is not usable and query will be failing.
