gv$asm_diskgroup Query Fails with Error ORA-12801 and ORA-15080 (Doc ID 1906155.1)

Symptoms

SQL> select * from gv$asm_diskgroup;
ERROR:
ORA-12801: error signaled in parallel query server PZ99, instance <HOSTNAME>.<DOMAIN_NAME>:+ASM2 (2)
ORA-15080: synchronous I/O operation to a disk failed
ORA-15080: synchronous I/O operation to a disk failed

some disks not accessible.
